It’s really a USB camera with a microblade pinout, which is not impossible to connect to a regular USB cable (we imagine you’re like us and have a bag full of dead USB cables you could apply to this project). We’ve succesfully retrofit one ourselves (and burned up 2 more).

You can dismantle it to de-gum the lens thread-focus mechanism for more precise focus adjustment.
