A High-Efficiency (HE) 3V DC motor coupled to a 228:1 gearbox give you a very useful low-power gearmotor!
This gearmotor is designed for low-voltage power-efficiency, but it isn't scared of generating a bit of torque. And the output shaft is shaped just like the GM2/3/8/9 for full accessory compatibility!
It's a small, slow, power-efficient but torquey motor, weighing in at only 35.7g (1.26oz)! It's a bit bigger than its more powerful brethren, measuring in at 51.7mm (2.04") long, 27.3mm (1.07") wide, and 32.1mm deep (1.26") excluding shaft.
Here are the basic stats:
| Voltage |
Unloaded |
RPM | Torque | Stall Current |
| 3V | 16mA | 12.0 | 43.6 in*oz | 253mA |
| 6V | 24mA | 30.6 | 83.5 in*oz | 492mA |
| 9V | 38mA | 46.9 | 105.3 in*oz | 738mA |
Please note that we have not tested this unit for compatibility with the Wheel-Watcher encoders...yet!
Do you need to mount something to the shaft of the motor? Try the GMW - it's a very effective platform for a variety uses. Alternatively, you'll also find that a #2x1/4" SMS screw will provide a snug fit for your need.
We also have encoders, aluminum brackets, and 55:1 and 104:1 conversion gears for your GM17.
