ePLA-LW expands upon extrusion, with a density that can vary with extrusion speed and temperature so tweaking and testing is required. What would make you want to go back to the days of testing and tuning a filament to your printer? The fact that this stuff foams up as you print it; it’s ideal for 3D printing structures where weight is at a premium, like model aircraft!

Not into models? Ok – how about cosplay? To make a nice, rigid helmet you’d have to spend a LOT of time printing and sanding to get something strong enough to hold up to cosplay wear-and-tear. Print it with the LW filament, which gives a foam-like rigidity and finishing ability.
