The Creality Sermoon V1 Pro is a tidy, out-of-the-box  3D printer. Only requiring minimal setup, you’ll be up and going in very little time. Fully enclosed, wireless connectivity, and the Sprite direct-drive extruder are all noteworthy features of the V1 Pro. It’s also very quiet – ideal for being non-intrusive.

Note: As much as we like this little printer, the built-in wifi capability relies on Creality’s Cloud-App to manage, which leaves us a bit cold. Using the app requires you to use default slicer settings (which are limiting), but you are still able to slice offline using any of a solid handful of excellent freeware slicers then upload and activate the print via the SD card. You can then video-monitor your print using the mobile app, but the app keeps insisting on requiring additional (and what we consider unnecessary) permissions to run. Denying the additional permissions still allows you to monitor the video feed. We’re hoping either Creality corrects this behavior, or the 3D printer community finds alternate ways to use the camera and lighting feed to offer a more of an “Octoprint” experience.

Additionally, it is worth noting this printer does not have automatic bed-leveling. The touch-screen interface offers a semi-automated procedure to dial-in the bed level, which on a printer bed this size works quite adequately.
