There’s some good reason not to mix materials in your 3D printer nozzle. Material change-over from lower-temperature PLA to higher-temperature can lead to the PLA burning up in the nozzle and sticking to the interior of the chamber, and becoming an obstacle to proper feed and operation.

eSun is the first to manufacture a filament specifically for cleaning out nozzles between changeovers.

Usage

eSun recommends feeding  a 150cm (~6″) length through the printer head to absorb and pull through old material. For a Bowden-style feeder, snip a length, and push it through the system ahead of your new material. If your blockage is too large to be pushed through, you will need to retract the cleaning filament manually from the rear.
