Solar Cells
Ah the "Solar" in "Solarbotics"!
Solar cells are generally designed to pump out as much current as possible, and to get voltage, you wire them up in series. We specialize in solar cells that generate voltage in a small area, which is generally the need when powering electronic devices.
We spend considerable effort designing, testing, and manufacturing specialized solar cells for multi-volt needs (for electronic devices, like, hmmm... robot!).
If you have a need for a special solar cell for your design and in large quantity (over 1000 pieces), we'd be happy to help you select or design a cell suitable for your OEM project!
These are small 1/8" square clear-epoxy encapsulated solar cells generating about 1/2 volt @ 1.9mA in sunlight.
