This Sparkfun breakout board features the Analog Devices 7746 capacitance sensor. That means it detects touch presence in close proximity, or can act as a capacitance sensor.

It comes configured  for two channels of single-ended capacitance input, and a snap-off touch sensor pad. as well as long capacitance creating traces. 

What makes it particularly cool is that it is I2C compatible! Ideal for Arduino connectivity!

It features:

• +/- 4pF capacitance input range
• 4fF accuracy
• 0.01% linearity
• 10-90Hz update rate
• 2.7V to 5.25V operation (0.7mA)
