Making Things Talk is really an incomplete
title for this book. If I were chief-of-the-world, I would have named
it Making Things Talk to Other Things to Build Cool Stuff.
At least they have the byline perfect: "Practical Methods for
Connecting Physical Objects".
This is not a book on adding a voice to a device (well, it could be that too, but in a minor way) - it's about getting microcontrollers, PCs and web servers all talking to each other. We're talking about (sorry about that phrase) getting totally different devices to communicate, so you can build some really neat stuff! Here's some of the projects covered:
