I just wanted to say thanks for the quick service I got from you. I ordered several products from you about a month ago to Israel and they arrived in only a week! usually it takes a lot longer for products to arrive, especially regarding the fact the shipping cost me only 4$. it is also a problem ordering stuff threw the internet- twice I ordered products that never arrived, so now that i know that i can trust you im sure I’ll buy here again.

Thank you for the excellent service, my son was very excited to get another batch of parts to add to his collection and to start on some new projects.

Kyle also enjoyed the servo hacking instructions, very clear and simple, in fact he read the funny parts to everyone that would listen to him. And the first set instructions he has seen that has not been photocopied 5000 times so every word is blurred together, like the average electronics kit we order.

I just received my first purchase from Solarbotics a Symet kit and parts to construct a Beetle robot. Everything came promptly and the order was correct plus you even threw in a free gear motor and some wires and feet for my motors. Thank you for your great service. I will be getting all mt robot parts from you.

I have built about a dozen BEAM robots and will be making alot more this winter! Solarbotics has been the greatest source for ad-free information about BEAM bots as well as my #1 supplier for everything I need to enjoy this hobby! Thank You Solarbotics for giving me the ideas and supplies to enjoy simple artistic electronics!!

I received my first order from You. It arrived (via International Ground Mail) into a remote location like Estonia in just 11 days instead of 4-6 weeks. Truly, could not expect that.

I would like to thank you and the people that you work with for such prompt and professional service. This has been one of the best experiences I have had purchasing something on line and I will be dealing with your company in the future.

Hey guys at Solarbotics! Awesome stuff!!

You guys have no idea how awesome your site is. I have come here for just about everything! I once had the site as my homepage. Great ideas & plans! keep em coming!

You called me today, to tell me about a credit card problem. I know you have a small company, but its still not usual to get a call from the president of a company to ensure satisfaction! Anyway, thanks for the alert so that I could get my order out ASAP.

Knowing that you are a stern judge of robotics craft, I thought I would swallow my pride and show you that beginners are having lots of fun with your Symet kit:

Its using a more compact solarengine design than the one on the Solarbotics xerox, but its all Solarbotics parts except for the wire (which came from a mouse cable btw) and the resistor (one of my own just happened to be closer).

After my first Photopopper kit, I havent been able to stop! Thanks so much for easing my transition into the BEAM world. It has been a huge blast and I wish your company the greatest success.

I sent an order to Solarbotics that got lost somehow. When I enquired about it I immediately got three emails from Dave and Cheryl to set it right. I probably forgot to hit the submit button after the big order. I resubmitted it and got the order right away. When someone sends an email wondering where to get something then I wonder why you didn’t go straight to Solarbotics first. They have the right capacitors, etc. We’re lucky to have this valuable resource.

Roger M. writes:

The service and products from Solarbotics are exceptional. They have great products at very reasonable prices. Plus their willingness to share design information (kit PDF’s) and on hand data sheets and papers make it a must stop for any roboticist. I also appreciated that they shipped my order right away. I got it in three days (XpressPost, Canada.) …

I think Solarbotics is definitely a valuable resource.

I’ve picked up shipments from Solarbotics a number of times now and the service is excellent.

I appreciate them very much as well and yes, they are a valuable resource.

I received my SolarSpeeder and PhotoPopper kits on Friday and they were both operational on Saturday. The manuals are great and the kits well designed for my purposes.

Ben H. writes:

Once again your order arrived promptly, with everything that I asked for. I was surprised at how quickly it arrived as well! With service like that how could anyone complain?

Gabriel D. writes:

Just wanted to say that Solarbotics shipped faster than digikey to santa cruz, CA. The order was also perfect and everything was packaged beautifully. Hats off to Solarbotics, excellent service :)

Just received my order. Great service! Thanks.

Just wanted to say thanks very much as my 1st order turned up in double quick time. Cheers from way down in the south pacific [New Zealand]

I wanted to let you know I love the book [Junkbots]. And to let you know Solarbotics is great I recently got some parts from the site. I had put the wrong exp date on my order form. But Robin did a great job helping me out with this. Thanks again for the great book and store for parts.

I’m slow in sending this but I just wanted to say thanks for your support of PDXBOT 04. Although I was not part of the organizing committee, I am a PARTS member and really appreciate your support and participation at PDXBOT.

Your extensive robot entries and your commercial display were great to have in Portland. Come back anytime.

I packed up Elektra and left the Science Centre on Sunday with more inspiration than I had when I arrived on Saturday morning. What an energizing weekend! I was in turns anxious, excited, frustrated, and relieved.

Thanks especially to Steve Jones for running the Sumovore workshops last month, and to Grant McKee for designing such an accessible platform. I would have been a spectator and not a participant at ECRG if it weren’t for these two men.

I was pleased to see the faces and shake the hands of so many people who so far had been only names on a screen to me, and I feel welcomed into this hobby robotics community. I’m looking forward to the next event.

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I enjoy your site and what you have done for the Beam community. I’m a relatively newbie to Beam and electronics and have spent alot of time reading your posted info.

I’m also on Yahoo-Beam … Thanks for your response about Beam pcb’s.

Thanks again for having us over for the workshop and the BBQ.

Dawn says that she was deeply touched by your dedication and willingness to help novice builders. She was particularly impressed with Grant–his cheerful manner, his patience–during the workshop and the Games.

To my great surprise, tonight at supper she announced, “I want to build one!” (mini-sumo) and she is already planning to attend next year’s SAMbot workshop and to drag along our middle son, Nathan, whose original interest in BEAM indirectly got me started in robotics. Now, you must understand that she is at the bottom of a glass or two of home-made wine and may not be entirely trustworthy…. But, obviously, you and the Games made a deep impression!

THANKS for a wonderful workshop!! My boys had a great time and can’t wait till the next one, next year!! All of you did a fabulous job “gently” coaching the kids to success!!

Wow! Thank you for your efforts in making the Robotics day happen at the Senior Center. My son is looking forward to being a part of the program next year! He had a great time and is playing with his car every day on the driveway. HE can’t believe people do this fun stuff for a living and design stuff all day long! He is hooked and we all know something of this scale doesn’t happen without great people behind the scenes.

You were so helpful getting my class going last year. Now my wife’s GATE class is going robotics.

Just a quick note to pass on to “Solarbotics Management”. It’s Friday Sept. 1 and I received my order of “bits and pieces” that I place last Sunday. (I know that you were down for upgrades). I was impressed by the fact that ALL the ordered items were there and that they were packaged in logical and easily identifiable packages. I am equally impressed with the quality of the “Photopopper” kit that I purchased at the CNE in Toronto. (I bought the bits and pieces to make him some different looking friends). In my 50+ years, I have built innumerable kits of all fashions (planes, trains and automobiles) and have yet to find the level of clarity and detail that you have provided. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, as the people I talked to at the CNE were knowledgeable and very helpful to a person whose only previous exposure to BEAM was via various TV articles showing these wondrous little “Machines”.

I’m looking foreword to an interesting Winter with my new photovore “friends”. Thanks again for your professional approach.

EXTREMELY COOL site, nice info & stuff, was a great help to me…but, I think a search engine is the final step for such a PERFECT site…

Editor’s note: This must have been on our old web site without search capability, but hopefully they are still happy with our content.
