Solarbotics would like to announce two new distributors, one in Italy, and the other in Mexico (who says robots aren’t cool world-wide?):

Robot-Italy is now our dealer out of the ancient city of Rome. We hope to visit them there one day!

Our other new distributor is Robodacta, out of Mexico City. Another nice, warm, south-of-the-border destination!

We’ve got a new BEP application ready for you users of the Bicore Experimenters’ PCB: The two motor Servocore Walker!

Use two unmodified servos to set endstop and duration characteristics, slave them like regular bicores, add an IMx reverser, and you’re trotting along!

Well, the first 100 copies of "Junkbots" have officially been sold. But since I can’t get enough of signing the inside cover of every book in the office, we’re going to have to extend the offer until the ink in my pen runs out.

So the Junkbots book/motor deal will last for until at least Christmas!

Here’s another book we quite enjoyed and recommend adding to your bookshelf - Robot Sumo! Check it out in the "New Items" or "Books" Section.

What’s going on here? We haven’t had this much new product come online so quickly since… since… well, let’s just say "in quite a while!"

Here’s a book to add to your bookshelf: "Building Robot Drive Trains" by Clark & Owings. It’s an excellent text on anything you need to know about putting power & motion to your robot. And unlike some retailers, we stock our own copies for quick shipping!

We also snuck in a new tiny supermagnet (Mag2) into our inventory. We saw these, and just had to have them for our shelf stock, as we have some neat ideas in store for these as Magbots.

We’ve come across a variety of small batteries that are splendid for the small types of robots we’re used to building! A variety of 3.6V and 4.8V packs ranging from 50mA to 300mA capacity means we have something ideal for almost any battery-powered BEAM bot.

Check them out in the "New Items" link under "Products", or click on the "Rechargeable Batteries" category.
